Sunflower Es Artemis

French breeding for stable yields

The «Es Artimis» sunflower hybrid from Euralis Semences is the result of years of French breeding work aimed at creating hybrids capable of withstanding challenging phytosanitary conditions. In modern agronomy, where the infectious load in fields is becoming increasingly aggressive, selecting seeds with strong genetic resistance is paramount.

A phytosanitary shield for your fields

The key feature of «Es Artimis» is its comprehensive tolerance to the most dangerous pathogens that limit sunflower yields. This hybrid demonstrates high resistance to:

• Verticillium wilt, preventing premature plant wilting;
• Sclerotinia (white rot), which affects both the heads and the root system;
• Phomopsis and Phoma, which often lead to lodging and crop loss during the grain filling stage.

Thanks to the breeding efforts of Lidea France (the unified entity including Euralis Semences), this hybrid has become a reliable tool for farmers practicing intensive agriculture, where the risk of soil-borne pathogen accumulation is exceptionally high.

Field economics: oil content and adaptability

Beyond its defensive traits, «Es Artimis» meets the expectations of processors, with an oil content ranging from 45% to 50%. For farmers, this translates to high profitability, as high-quality, oil-rich grain is consistently in demand on the market. The hybrid exhibits excellent plasticity, allowing it to adapt to various soil types and European climatic zones where the originator, AgroFresh Holding France S.A.S., operates. Stable development during early growth stages and uniform crop maturity simplify the harvest process, minimizing losses during combine operations.
