MN 7268 is a hybrid sunflower of Ukrainian selection NK "GRAN", intended for cultivation in various soil-climatic conditions, including the Polissia and Forest-Steppe regions of Ukraine. It belongs to the medium-early and early-maturing hybrids with a vegetation period of 105-110 days. Plants reach a height of about 165 cm, and the head diameter is 22-24 cm, with a flat, downward-leaning shape. The hybrid demonstrates rapid early growth and high plasticity, ensuring stable yield under different conditions. Hybrid MN 7268 is distinguished by high drought, lodging, and broad-spectrum disease resistance, including downy mildew (6 races A-F), fomopsis, sclerotinia of head and stem, fomosis, verticillium wilt, and false powdery mildew. It is resistant to herbicides of the imidazolinone group and is grown using CLEARFIELD® technology, which eliminates phytotoxicity and developmental delays after treatment. The energy of early growth is rated at level 9, and the 1000-seed mass is 62 grams, promoting good plant development. The yield potential of the hybrid reaches 56 centners per hectare under intensive cultivation, with an average yield of about 42 centners per hectare. Oil content in the seeds ranges from 47-52%, making MN 7268 attractive for oil production. Seed packaging is provided in bags of 150,000 seeds in two fractions: standard (1000-seed mass 53-64 g) and extra (65-73 g). The hybrid is suitable for linoleum applications and ensures high economic efficiency due to the combination of resistance, yield, and oil quality.
