Dobrodiy

Sunflower Dobrodіy is an early-maturing, high-yielding trihybrid of Ukrainian selection, recommended for cultivation in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones of Ukraine. It is characterized by plant height of 150-160 cm and flower head diameter of 14-16 cm, with a vegetation period of 104-106 days. The hybrid is distinguished by high potential yield up to 4.2 t/ha and high oil content in seeds — 48.3%. The 1000-seed mass is 48-55 g, and the recommended plant density at harvest time is 45-50 thousand plants per hectare. Seeds are treated with the two-component fungicide Funaben, providing protection against diseases and pests.

One of the key advantages of Dobrodіy is its high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including false powdery mildew, rot, and downy mildew. The hybrid is also resistant to lodging due to its strong stem and robust, well-branched root system that penetrates soil to a depth of up to 2 meters. This plant structure ensures reliability even under adverse weather conditions, such as heavy rains and strong winds. The sunflower head has a convex shape and average size, which reduces the risk of rot under high humidity.

Dobrodіy belongs to high-oil sunflower varieties and is intended for oilseed use. It was developed based on research conducted at the Institute of Plant Physiology named after V.Ya. Yuryev of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine and was registered in the variety registry since 2016. Thanks to its combination of high yield, disease resistance, and adaptability to adverse conditions, as well as its excellent oilseed characteristics, this hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain a stable and high-quality sunflower harvest.
