Sunflower variety DOBRYNIA is a high-yield confectionery variety with large black seeds decorated with slightly visible gray stripes along the shell edges. The plants are medium-height, reaching 175 to 195 cm, ensuring good productivity and resistance to unfavorable conditions. The mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 130 to 150 grams, while the protein content in the kernel varies from 18 to 22%. The oil content of mature seeds is within 45-48%, with hulling rates of about 23-25%. The variety is distinguished by a high yield of large seed fractions, reaching 65-85% depending on growing conditions.
The DOBRYNIA variety has a medium-late growth period of 89 to 110 days, allowing its use in various climatic zones, especially in southern Ukraine. The recommended plant density at harvest is 25-30 thousand per hectare. The variety demonstrates high resistance to soil and air drought, as well as to common sunflower diseases such as phoma, rust, downy mildew, verticillium, and dodder (races A-E). Additionally, the variety is tolerant to sunflower moths and responds well to the application of mineral fertilizers, contributing to stable and high yields.
DOBRYNIA was created between 2003 and 2010 and patented in 2012, confirming its breeding quality and reliability. This sunflower variety is suitable for use in the confectionery industry and for frying due to its large fruit size and high seed quality. The yield of the variety reaches 3.6 tons per hectare, making it an attractive choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality yield in a variable climate.
