Sunflower Dolico

Working with the "Doliko" hybrid

When working with the "Doliko" sunflower hybrid from the French breeding center (Av Du Capitaine N Tchorere 80270 Airaines France), you quickly understand the difference between basic planting and precision farming. Within a 100-110 day vegetation period, the plant manages to fully realize its potential, which is critical in today's unstable climatic conditions.

Field endurance

The biggest headache for any agronomist is disease impact before harvest. With "Doliko," the situation is predictable: this hybrid demonstrates excellent resistance to Sclerotinia, Phomopsis, and Phoma. Its natural "immunity" to white and gray mold is particularly impressive. In practice, this means fewer fungicide treatments are required, which significantly reduces the cost per ton of production.

Economics and yield

For a farm owner, two factors matter most: oil yield and stable scale weights. "Doliko" consistently delivers an oil content of 50-55%. This high quality allows for premiums when selling to oil extraction plants. The hybrid is not overly demanding of specialized techniques and passes through critical growth stages quickly, which simplifies field work scheduling.

• Vegetation period: 100-110 days.
• Oil content: 50-55%.
• Priority: high phytosanitary profile and clean harvest.

We recommend this seed material to those who focus on intensive cultivation and want to minimize the risk of losing their harvest at the end of the season. The seeds demonstrate uniform germination, allowing for a consistent stand density without unnecessary costs for re-seeding.
