AGROBUSINESS 2050 is a simple interline hybrid sunflower of early maturity, developed by Kazakh breeders of LLC 'Experimental Farm of Oilseed Crops'. The hybrid was created using line-hybridization methods and is characterized by high ecological plasticity, ensuring uniform germination, even flowering and ripening phases, as well as ideal plant height uniformity. The vegetative period ranges from 95 to 97 days, allowing successful cultivation in the forest-steppe, steppe, and foothill zones of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as in the Central Chernozem region. Plant height reaches 150-160 cm, and the flower head diameter varies from 20 to 25 cm, with a flat, slightly convex shape.
AGROBUSINESS 2050 is distinguished by high yield — up to 40 centners per hectare, with average yields of about 30-40 centners per hectare in various regions. The 1000-seed mass is 65-70 g, indicating the hybrid's large-seeded nature. Seed oil content reaches 48-50.7%, and fat content is approximately 48.2%. The hybrid is drought-tolerant, lodging-resistant, and practically does not drop during stand, facilitating harvest and improving yield quality.
Special attention has been paid to the hybrid's disease resistance: it exhibits resistance to false powdery mildew and downy mildew, and is tolerant to white and gray rot. The recommended plant density before harvest is 50,000 plants per hectare, promoting optimal development and maximum productivity. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptability, the AGROBUSINESS 2050 hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality sunflower yields.
