Boyarin

Sunflower 'Boyarin' is a simple interlinear hybrid of the linoleic type, intended for oilseed use. It belongs to the early-maturing group with a vegetation period of 107-108 days and is recommended for cultivation in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones of Ukraine. The hybrid has been registered in the Ukrainian Plant Variety Register since 2014 and is one of the leaders in yield potential, reaching up to 4.97 t/ha. Plant height reaches 170 cm, and the head has a convex shape with a diameter of 21-22 cm.

'Boyarin' exhibits high resistance to lodging, shattering, and false powdery mildew, as well as genetically determined resistance to races A, B, C, D, and E of downy mildew. The hybrid is drought-tolerant and resistant to root rots, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. Oil content is 22-23.1%, huskiness — 99.47%, and the 1000-seed mass ranges from 62.5 to 65 g.

Oil content in seeds reaches 47.5%, ensuring high efficiency in oil production. The recommended pre-harvest seeding density is 50-55 thousand plants per hectare in the Steppe and 55-60 thousand plants per hectare in the Forest-Steppe. All these characteristics make sunflower 'Boyarin' a profitable and resilient hybrid for oilseed production in the specified regions.
