FR 83807 is a simple interspecific sunflower hybrid intended for oilseed use. It belongs to the mid-early maturity group with a vegetation period of about 108-113 days. The hybrid is characterized by high yield with a potential of more than 44-45 cts/ha and oil content at the level of 49-50%. The mass of 1000 seeds is approximately 70 g, which indicates good seed material quality.
The hybrid possesses genetic resistance to drought, shattering, and lodging, which ensures crop stability under various climatic conditions. In addition, FR 83807 is distinguished by high resistance to downy mildew, field infections, as well as to the parasite – phomopsis, including some of its new forms. This makes it particularly suitable for growing in the Polesie, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe zones of Ukraine, as well as in southern regions using the SUMO technology.
FR 83807 is suitable for intensive cultivation technologies, ensuring a high level of productivity and resistance to adverse factors. The average head diameter is 21-25 cm, which contributes to efficient harvest collection. Hullability of seeds is within the range of 21-23%, which additionally improves the quality of oilseed raw materials. All these characteristics make this hybrid an attractive choice for agricultural producers focused on stable and high sunflower yields.
