Description Brazil
The Brasil sunflower hybrid is an intensive mid-early variety recommended for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including the Central and Northern Steppes, Forest Steppe, and Polesie. It is characterized by high yield stability and tolerance to a range of diseases and stress factors, such as Phomopsis, sclerotinia, drought, and ragweed species A-E. The vegetative period of the hybrid is approximately 105 days, allowing for early harvest when proper agronomic practices and crop rotations are followed, and seed density is avoided.

Brasil seeds are treated with fungicides and the insecticide Cruiser, providing additional protection against pests and diseases. The hybrid features a high yield potential of up to 5.2 tons per hectare and high oil content exceeding 50%, making it attractive for industrial oil production. The cultivation technology of this hybrid corresponds to the CLEARFIELD system, enabling effective weed control, including resistant ragweed species.

Brasil exhibits high drought tolerance and resilience to adverse weather conditions, ensuring stable yields even under challenging climatic conditions. Intensive cultivation technologies are recommended to fully unlock the hybrid’s potential. Seeds are packed in bags of 150,000 units, sufficient for sowing on 2.2–2.5 hectares, facilitating planning of sowing operations.
