The Obrión sunflower hybrid is a high-yielding variety with excellent drought and frost resistance. It features uniform flowering and maturation, ensuring stable yields. Plants reach a height of 170-180 cm, with a vegetative period of 105-108 days. The head has a convex, semi-tilted shape with a diameter of 22-24 cm. The 1000-seed mass ranges from 50 to 80 grams, and oil content in the seeds reaches 49-51%. The hybrid is genetically resistant to seven races of downy mildew (Peronospora), significantly reducing the risk of crop damage and enhancing cultivation reliability. Additionally, Obrión exhibits high resistance to false powdery mildew, promoting plant health under adverse conditions. Early development is characterized by vigorous growth, and the hybrid responds well to fertilizer application, allowing for optimized agronomy and increased yields. Recommended cultivation zones for the Obrión hybrid are the Forest-steppe and Steppe regions of Ukraine, where it demonstrates high adaptability and consistent yield performance. The potential yield is up to 52 centners per hectare, confirmed by competitive trials with yields around 35 centners per hectare. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation across various sunflower-growing regions, making it a versatile and profitable choice for agricultural producers.
