Common sunflower Enduro F1

Stability You Can Trust: Working with Enduro F1

When you step into a field with sunflowers from KWS, you realize why it's worth the investment. Enduro F1 is, first and foremost, predictable. After several seasons of operation, this simple hybrid has proven that it doesn't cause issues during germination or head filling.

Field Performance and Agronomics

For an operator, how the hybrid handles real-world conditions is what matters. A plant height of 150–170 cm is the "sweet spot." It is strong enough to withstand high winds but does not grow to excessive dimensions, making it easier for equipment to pass through for pesticide application. The stalk is sturdy and not prone to lodging, which is critical before harvest.

Protection Against Challenges

The biggest headache in sunflower farming is broomrape and rot. Enduro F1 acts as a reliable shield here. Its resistance to phomopsis, sclerotinia, and powdery mildew is truly top-tier: the hybrid pulls through the season even under high infection pressure. Downy mildew has also been a non-issue — KWS genetics deliver here perfectly.

Harvest and Storage

The medium-sized, tightly packed heads thresh very well. The narrow egg-shaped black seeds have good test weight, which you feel immediately when filling the grain tank. It doesn’t require specific combine settings — the drum runs smoothly, the seeds don't crack, and losses are virtually non-existent. In storage, the seeds remain stable and don't overheat, which is a testament to the hybrid's solid physiology.

• Optimal height for easy field management.
• High immunity to a range of rots and broomrape.
• No complications during threshing.
• Consistent seed quality.

For an agronomist who values time and wants to minimize the risk of yield loss, this option from KWS is one of the most balanced choices on the market. There's no need to experiment when you have a proven solution.
