HANJAR

The HANJAR hybrid sunflower is a mid-season variety intended for cultivation in the Central Chernozem region of Russia. The vegetation period ranges from 102 to 118 days, depending on growing conditions. Plants reach an average height of 160-170 cm, have green leaves and orange-yellow disc flowers. The hybrid is characterized by weak or moderate leaf pubescence and absence of branching. Seeds have a mass of 59.4-62 g per 1000 seeds, with oil content ranging from 49.6-51%, ensuring high oil yield. HANJAR stands out for its high yield and adaptability, allowing for stable harvests even under adverse weather conditions. The genetic yield potential reaches 4.16 t/ha, while the average yield in the Central Chernozem region is approximately 31.2 c/ha, with maximum yields reaching up to 39.4 c/ha. The recommended plant density at harvest is 52 thousand per hectare. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to false powdery mildew, gray mold, various strains of Sclerotinia (A, B, C, D, E), as well as lodging and shattering, significantly reducing yield losses and improving seed quality. Key features of the hybrid include low shattering (21-22%) and high seed coat integrity (99.7%), facilitating processing and increasing oil extraction. The absence or weak expression of seed margins gives the seeds an attractive appearance. Due to its adaptive traits and disease resistance, the HANJAR sunflower is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality oilseed yields.
