The sunflower hybrid FAKEL is an early-maturing simple inter-line hybrid characterized by high yield and adaptability to various climatic conditions. The vegetative period lasts 85-87 days, with plant height ranging from 160 to 175 cm. The plants are of medium height, non-branched, with large green leaves and a medium-sized drooping head with a flat seed side. The seeds are of narrow egg shape, predominantly black with gray stripes, possessing oil content within 44.7-52%. FAKEL exhibits resistance to downy mildew, false powdery mildew, and tolerance to phoma, as well as basket and stem forms of white and gray rots, ensuring reliable cultivation in various regions. The hybrid is included in the State Register for the Central Black Earth, Middle Volga, Lower Volga, Ural, and North Caucasian regions, confirming its wide adaptability and stability under different agro-climatic conditions. The optimal plant density at harvest is 50-55 thousand per hectare. The FAKEL hybrid is intended for oilseed use and features an intensive growth type; maximum yield is achieved when grown on high backgrounds using classic cultivation technology. The potential seed yield reaches 3.5-4.2 t/ha, with oil collection up to 1.8 t/ha, making this hybrid a profitable choice for sunflower oil producers. Thanks to its ecological plasticity and disease resistance, FAKEL is suitable for cultivation even in the northernmost sunflower-growing regions.
