PILOT is a mid-maturing sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) variety recommended for cultivation in the Krasnodar region and included in the State Register for the North Caucasus and Middle Volga regions. The plant is characterized by a medium-length vegetation period — from 115 to 131 days depending on the region, high height, and green leaf color. Flowers are ligulate and yellow. Seed yield varies from 20.9 to 25 centners per hectare, with oil content in seeds reaching 48–55.2%, ensuring high oil productivity. Maximum seed yield may reach 48.6 centners per hectare in the North Caucasus region and 34 centners per hectare in the Middle Volga region, with oil yield up to 13.45 centners per hectare.
