YUVS 7 is a medium-early sunflower hybrid (Helianthus annuus L.) developed for cultivation in the Lower Volga and Ural regions, with recommendation for Saratov Oblast. The plant has a vegetation period ranging from 115 to 124 days, depending on the region, and an average 1000-seed mass of about 55–60 grams. Medium-sized plants, without branching, with small or medium-sized heads that turn half downward upon maturity. Leaves are heart-shaped, green, with moderate blistering and serrated edges; seeds are narrowly oval in shape, with a dark base color and gray stripes along the edges and sides. Hybrid YUVS 7 is characterized by high yield: in the Lower Volga region, average yield is about 19.4 c/ha, with maximum yields reaching 27.9 c/ha; in the Ural region — approximately 17.1 c/ha, with maximum yields up to 29.5 c/ha. Oil content in the seeds is at the level of 49.6–50.3%, ensuring good oil content and additional profitability during processing. Early flowering and medium-early maturity allow effective planning of agronomic activities and harvest. YUVS 7 exhibits resistance to major sunflower diseases, including false powdery mildew, and moderate susceptibility to white mold, reducing yield losses under unfavorable phytosanitary conditions. Due to these characteristics, the hybrid is suitable for cultivation in regions with high pathogen levels and variable climatic conditions. The plant demonstrates stability and reliability, making it an attractive choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality sunflower yields.
