Sugar beet JAPOLYA is an important agricultural crop grown in Ukraine, particularly in regions such as Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Poltava, and Zhytomyr oblasts. This crop plays a key role in sugar production and maintaining the country's agricultural sector. Growing sugar beet requires the application of modern technologies and careful care, as confirmed by the experience of agrarians using hybrids and advanced management methods to increase yield.
Special attention in growing JAPOLYA is given to crop rotation, which must be properly organized to maintain soil fertility and prevent the accumulation of pests and diseases. Sugar beet grows well with winter wheat and other crops, however, excessive saturation of crop rotations with sugar beet leads to deterioration of physico-chemical soil properties, reduced activity of microflora, and increased infestation of crops with weeds. To preserve soil health and high yield, it is recommended to limit the area under sugar beet to 25% in crop rotation and ensure intervals in growing on one field of no less than 3-5 years.
An important factor in the successful growth of sugar beet JAPOLYA is adequate soil moisture, especially during the critical period of vegetation in late July – early August, when plants form maximum leaf surface. It is also necessary to take into account the phytosanitary condition of crops, as diseases such as root rot and cercosporosis, as well as pests, including sugar beet crumb and nematode, can significantly reduce yield. A comprehensive approach to agronomy, including proper crop rotation, pest control, and maintaining soil fertility, ensures the production of high-quality root crops with high sugar content.
