Beet sugar variety Jarysa has high yield and sugar content potential. The root is oval-conical in shape and sinks into the soil by approximately 85%, which contributes to good growth and storage. The leaf rosette is of medium size, dark green, and spreading. This variety is distinguished by drought, cold, disease, and cracking resistance, as well as good storability, making it suitable for medium harvest periods.
The crop is warm-loving and heat-tolerant, with an optimal growth and development temperature of 20-22°C; however, photosynthesis continues even at temperatures above 40°C. Sugar beet requires adequate moisture, especially in July-August, during the intensive root growth phase. Due to its well-developed root system capable of absorbing water from depths up to 2.5 meters, the plant tolerates drought well. Seeds germinate at temperatures from +4 to +17°C, with emergence time depending on temperature and varying by 10-15 days. In autumn, the crop withstands frosts down to -5°C without damage to sugar accumulation.
