KUBANSKIY MS 83 is a high-yielding hybrid of sugar beet designed for cultivation in the Central Black Earth and North Caucasus regions. The plant belongs to the mid-late maturity type with a vegetation period of about 180 days. The roots have a mass of 680 to 720 grams, ensuring high yield, significantly exceeding standard indicators. In the Central Black Earth region, root yield reached 403 centners per hectare, and the sugar content was about 18.3%, which ensures high sugar collection — up to 73.5 centners per hectare.
The hybrid is single-seed, triploid on a sterile CMS background, which contributes to its high yield and product quality. KUBANSKIY MS 83 is characterized by increased resistance to major sugar beet diseases, such as cercosporosis and powdery mildew, as well as medium resistance to root aphid. Moreover, the variety exhibits good drought resistance and does not require intensive chemical protection, making it economically advantageous for cultivation.
This hybrid is widely used in farms of the North Caucasus and Central Black Earth region due to its reliability and stable productivity. High sugar content and resistance to adverse conditions allow KUBANSKIY MS 83 to be effectively used for sugar production, ensuring high product output and raw material quality.
