The hybrid sugar beet 'Newspaper' belongs to the Rz-Cr-Rt class and is characterized by high sugar yield. It is ideal for late harvesting and can be grown in all soil-climatic zones of Ukraine within the beet belt. The average yield of this hybrid reaches 650 centners per hectare, with sugar content around 16%, and on soils with medium and high agrofond, these figures can be higher. 'Newspaper' is cultivated using traditional soil preparation technology with a full complex of mineral fertilizers, and planting begins at optimal or slightly delayed dates. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to multiple pathogens, including cercospora, rhizomania, rizoctonia, and various root rots, as well as good protection against soil pests. Throughout the entire vegetative season, the leaves retain an intense green color, even in late autumn. The roots hold well in the soil, facilitating easy harvesting with a combine harvester and allowing for cutting the tops without damaging the beet. After harvest, 'Newspaper' sugar beet can be stored for a long time in heaps at storage points without being affected by pathogenic infections, indicating its excellent storability.
