R 133

R 133 is a high-oleic sunflower hybrid of medium-early maturity group with a vegetation period of 115-120 days. It is adapted to cultivation technology using the herbicide Express® (maximum single application rate of Granstar — 50 g), which ensures effective weed control. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to new strains of false powdery mildew, as well as to sunflower rust strains A-E, making it a reliable choice for various agroclimatic zones, including Polesie, Forest-Steppe, and Northern Steppe of Ukraine.

R 133 is characterized by high oleic acid content, which improves oil quality and increases its value for food industry. The hybrid’s yield potential reaches 55 c/ha with oil content around 51%. Drought resistance is rated 8 out of 9, enabling successful cultivation under water deficit conditions. Additionally, the hybrid shows good resistance to Fomopsis, stem rot, blossom blight, verticillium wilt, and leaf wilting, contributing to stable yields and reduced losses.

R 133 fruits have good market appearance: they are large, round-oval, yellow in color with a netted structure. Fruit flesh is white, thick, crumbly-fresh, with a pleasant sweet taste and melon-like aroma. Recommended plant density at harvest is 45-50 thousand plants per hectare under unfavorable conditions and 50-55 thousand under favorable conditions, allowing optimization of yield and product quality.
