LMS 2009

LMS 2009 is a hybrid sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L. ssp. vulgaris var. saccharifera Alef.) characterized by a medium-early maturation period and high yield. The plant has a medium height and forms root crops of significant mass, varying depending on the growing region: from 410 g to 819 g. The hybrid is single-seeded, diploid on a sterile N-type base, which ensures stability and high-quality harvest.

The LMS 2009 hybrid is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the North Caucasus, Middle Volga, Lower Volga, and Ural regions. In these regions, the hybrid demonstrates high root crop yield—ranging from 292 to 721 c/ha, with sugar content reaching 17-20.2%. Sugar recovery varies from 61 to 132.1 c/ha, exceeding the average standards. Such characteristics make LMS 2009 a profitable choice for the sugar industry.

The hybrid is resistant to major pests and diseases, including root borer and Cercospora, which reduces the need for intensive plant protection. Over the years of testing, no disease damage was observed, confirming its reliability and adaptability to various climatic conditions. LMS 2009 is suitable for cultivation in the Rostov region and other regions with similar agro-climatic conditions, ensuring a stable and high-quality sugar beet harvest.
