Description RMS 121
RMS 121 sugar beet is a single-seed diploid hybrid of Mazlumov All-Russian Institute of Sugar Beet Breeding selection, created on a sterile basis of normal type. This variety is intended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Volga-Vyatka, Central Black Earth, North Caucasian, and Middle Volga regions. RMS 121 is distinguished by a cylindrical root shape with a soil immersion depth of 80 to 95%, which promotes effective development and protection from adverse conditions.

The hybrid is characterized by high yield, reaching 43.9 tons per hectare, and high sugar content — 18.8%. Sugar harvest is about 82.4 centners per hectare, making this variety attractive to agrarians focused on obtaining high-quality raw materials for the sugar industry. Harvesting dates are medium, which allows for optimal planning of agrotechnical activities.

RMS 121 possesses resistance to main sugar beet diseases, including root rots, powdery mildew, and cercosporosis. Root rot resistance level is high, while resistance to powdery mildew and cercosporosis is medium, which ensures crop stability and reduces loss risks. Thanks to these characteristics, the variety is widely recommended for cultivation in various agro-climatic zones of Russia.
