SUGAR BEET DEMETER

SUGAR BEET DEMETER is a hybrid of normal-sugar type sugar beet (NZ) developed by Syngenta. This hybrid is characterized by single-stem growth and a diploid chromosome set on a sterile basis, ensuring stability and high crop quality. Seed treatment is carried out with Forcemagnum, which aids in protecting plants during early growth stages and improving germination.

The root mass of SUGAR BEET DEMETER ranges from approximately 610 to 667 grams, ensuring high yield—averaging between 488 and 555 centners per hectare across various growing regions. Sugar content in roots reaches 18.4%, with sugar recovery reaching 80-90 centners per hectare, making this hybrid attractive to the sugar industry. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in the Volga, Ural, and Southern regions of Russia, where it delivers stable results.

SUGAR BEET DEMETER exhibits good resistance to major sugar beet diseases, including rhizomania and cercosporosis; root rot and cercosporosis incidence is noted as low, while root maggot infestation is moderate. Harvesting periods range from early to mid-season, allowing flexible planning of agronomic operations. Soil burial of root crops reaches 90%, facilitating harvest and reducing yield losses.
