Description YASHIN
YASHIN — a first-generation sugar beet hybrid developed by STRUBE D&S GMBH & CO. KG. This mid-late variety is characterized by high sugar content and yield, making it attractive for cultivation in various regions of Russia. The plant features medium height and semi-erect leaf positioning, while the root crop has a wide-conical shape of medium length, facilitating harvest and processing.

Sugar beet YASHIN is recommended for cultivation in the Central Black Earth, North Caucasian, Middle Volga, Ural, and West Siberian regions. In the Central Black Earth region, root crop yield reaches an average of 519 centners/ha with 17.8% sugar content, while in the North Caucasian region, yield is about 572 centners/ha with 17.1% sugar content. The average sugar content across all regions is about 17.2%, and root crop yield reaches 585 centners/ha, ensuring high sugar collection.

The hybrid possesses good resistance to major sugar beet diseases. It is highly resistant to Cercospora, moderately resistant to root rots, but susceptible to root nematode attack. Resistance to powdery mildew is also noted. These characteristics make YASHIN a reliable choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality sugar beet harvest.
