Sugar beet RUP 363 SSS

Technical Analysis of the RUP 363 SSS Hybrid

The breeding strategy of «SoyuzSemSvekla» for the RUP 363 SSS sugar beet hybrid focuses on aligning plant morphology with modern mechanized harvesting requirements. The core value of this hybrid lies in its root architecture, designed to optimize both agricultural output and machine throughput.

Root Geometry and Harvesting Efficiency

The cylindrical-conical shape of the RUP 363 SSS is a critical technical factor for operators of sugar beet harvesters. This specific geometry ensures:

• Reduced soil resistance during the extraction phase, significantly lowering the mechanical strain on the harvester's lifting units.
• High efficiency in defoliation: the average head size of the root allows for consistent machine settings, reducing crop loss.
• Streamlined cleaning processes: the uniform shape facilitates better dirt separation on the conveyor belts and cleaning turbines, minimizing physical damage to the root.

Agronomic Performance and Plant Physiology

The RUP 363 SSS hybrid maintains a balanced vegetative development, ensuring rapid row canopy closure that suppresses weed competition in early stages. Its average size allows for high-density planting without the risk of over-sizing, which is often associated with reduced sugar content. «SoyuzSemSvekla» has engineered this hybrid to ensure uniform maturation across the field, which simplifies harvest logistics and optimizes the processing quality at the sugar factory.
