Sugar beet NS-H-081 RC

Stable Yields Under High Infection Pressure

The «NS-H-081 RC» sugar beet hybrid, developed by the Serbian breeding center IFVCNS (Novi Sad), is a strategic choice for farms operating in fields with high risks of leaf and root diseases. This hybrid has established itself as a reliable tool in intensive farming, where the struggle for every percentage of sugar content directly depends on the health of the foliage.

Pathogen Resistance as a Priority

The key advantage of «NS-H-081 RC» lies in its genetically programmed tolerance to major beet pathogens: rhizomania and cercospora. In the field, this translates into reduced pesticide reliance. You save on fungicide applications while maintaining healthy vegetative mass until harvest. A robust canopy ensures successful photosynthesis, leading to optimal sugar accumulation in the root.

Agronomy and Morphology

The roots feature a classic broad-conical shape, which is highly compatible with standard mechanical harvesters. The medium size allows the hybrid to effectively utilize plant density, ensuring a uniform stand until the harvest date. Operational recommendations for «NS-H-081 RC» include:

• Optimal Sowing: Wait until soil temperatures reach 6–8°C to ensure uniform germination.
• Planting Density: Stick to intensive seeding schemes to achieve maximum root size uniformity.
• Harvesting: Due to the root shape, mechanical harvesting losses are minimized, as the majority of the biomass sits in a position easy to extract from the soil.

By choosing «NS-H-081 RC» from IFVCNS (Novi Sad), agronomists gain predictable results in regions with volatile infection backgrounds. It is the ideal solution for those prioritizing technological efficiency and risk mitigation against crop diseases.
