QC108 / KS 108

Sunflower KS108 is a medium-maturing, plastic hybrid with a vegetation period of about 110 days. It is characterized by high plasticity and adaptability to growing conditions, allowing successful cultivation in various climatic zones. Plants reach a height of 160-175 cm, have a convex-shaped head with a diameter of 20-24 cm, sloping halfway down. The thousand-seed mass is 55-60 g, and the oil content in the seeds reaches 48-50%, making this hybrid attractive for oil production.

Hybrid KS108 has high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including fusarium, phomopsis, and sclerotinia, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses. In addition, it is resistant to lodging and sulfonylurea-based herbicides, simplifying weed control against broadleaf and grass weeds and enabling effective plant protection technologies. The hybrid is also resistant to races of downy mildew A-E, expanding its cultivation possibilities on infested soils.

The recommended seeding rate depends on moisture conditions: under insufficient moisture, it is optimal to sow 40-45 thousand plants per hectare, and under adequate moisture — 55-60 thousand. The yield potential of the hybrid reaches 4.2 tons per hectare, confirming its high productivity. The cultivation technology involves the use of the SULFO (Express) system, which promotes effective plant development and achieves maximum yield performance.
