Description Oryx
Sugar beet of the Oryx variety is a heat-loving and heat-tolerant crop, optimally developing at 20-22°C, yet capable of effective photosynthesis even at temperatures above 40°C. Sugar beet seeds germinate within a wide temperature range from +4 to 17°C, with seedling emergence time directly dependent on temperature: at lower temperatures, seedlings may emerge with a delay of up to 10-15 days. Due to its well-developed root system capable of absorbing water from depths of about 2.5 meters, the crop exhibits good drought resistance, which is especially important during the intensive growth period of the roots in July-August, when water demand is highest.

For successful cultivation of sugar beet Oryx, adequate moisture must be ensured, as water deficiency leads to increased nitrogen content in the roots, which may negatively affect crop quality.

During the pre-harvest autumn period, the crop can withstand frosts down to -5°C without damage to sugar accumulation, although lower temperatures may halt this process and harm the roots.

Sugar beet Oryx is widely used in agriculture for sugar production and feed purposes. To increase yield and protect plants, it is recommended to implement integrated agronomic measures, including fertilizer application and plant protection products. Thanks to its adaptive properties and resilience to adverse conditions, the Oryx variety is a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic zones.
