Sugar beet MZ 5 X F 09

German genetics for stable yields

The sugar beet variety MZ 5 X F 09 from the renowned breeder Strube represents the result of years of research aimed at overcoming the primary phytosanitary threats in sugar beet farming. In today's climate, where the infectious pressure in fields is increasing, this hybrid fills the niche of a "protected crop."

A phytosanitary shield

The main market advantage of this model is its genetic resistance to rhizomania and cercospora. In regions with a high risk of leaf spot development, MZ 5 X F 09 allows growers to reduce the number of fungicide applications, which directly impacts the cost-efficiency of sugar production. The breeder has paid close attention to plant physiology, ensuring the hybrid maintains high productivity even under significant infectious pressure.

Morphology and operational efficiency

Visually, the root crop features a pronounced broad-conical shape of medium size, which is considered a standard for efficient mechanical harvesting. The geometry of the beet minimizes losses during combine operations: the shape ensures optimal "seating" in the soil, allowing machinery to easily extract the root without damaging the tail.
