Authie / Otí

Sugar beet variety Authie is a high-yielding, sugar-rich hybrid with a high yield potential of 800-900 c/ha and sugar content of about 18-19%. The roots have an oval-conical shape and sink deeply into the soil by 80-85% of their height, which contributes to their good preservation and resistance to damage. The leaf rosette is medium-sized, dark green, and spreading, providing optimal photosynthetic nutrition for the plant. The maturity period is medium-late — around 150-170 days — allowing the hybrid to successfully fit into crop rotations with other crops, such as rapeseed.

The Authie hybrid is characterized by high resistance to various adverse factors, including nematode, root-eating pest, and cercosporosis infections, as well as drought and cold tolerance. Thanks to its well-developed root system capable of absorbing moisture from depths up to 2.5 meters, the plant effectively withstands water deficiency, which is especially important under dry climate conditions. It is recommended to grow using intensive technology with early planting and later harvest, allowing maximum expression of the hybrid's potential.

The Authie variety is suitable for cultivation in all soil-climatic zones of the sugar beet belt of Ukraine. The hybrid demonstrates stable yield and sugar content even under moderate to severe pest and disease infestations. It adapts well to soils with medium to high agrofond under adequate moisture, making it a universal and reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain high-quality sugar beet crops.
