Description RMS 129
RMS 129 is a sugar beet hybrid developed specifically for growing under Russian conditions. It is a medium-height plant with a wide-conical root of medium length, which facilitates harvesting and processing. The hybrid is characterized by high yield, averaging 64 tons per hectare and reaching up to 86 tons per hectare, making it attractive to agricultural producers focused on efficient raw material production for the sugar industry.

The sugar content in RMS 129 roots is approximately 17.5%, ensuring a high sugar recovery rate of up to 115.7 centners per hectare. This allows for obtaining high-quality raw material for processing and enhances the economic efficiency of cultivation. The hybrid has moderate resistance to Cercospora, which requires adherence to agronomic measures to maintain crop health and stable yields.

The creation and implementation of the RMS 129 hybrid became possible thanks to the efforts of the selection and genetics center "SoiusSemSvekla", which was founded jointly by "Shchelkovo Agrochem" and the "Rusagro" holding. This center plays a key role in reviving domestic sugar beet breeding, reducing dependence on imported seeds, and providing agricultural producers with high-quality adapted hybrids. RMS 129 is actively used in agricultural practice and contributes to the development of the Russian sugar industry.
