Sugar beet BTS SMART 9685

High performance and stress resistance in the field

When operating with the BTS SMART 9685 sugar beet hybrid by Betaseed, the first thing you notice is its consistent performance under diverse field conditions. For growers dealing with problematic soils, the major advantage here is the genetic resilience against complex root rot diseases, specifically Fusarium and Aphanomyces. This robustness is a game-changer for maintaining plant stands until harvest, which is often where other varieties falter.

Crop management and protection

• Sugar content: Consistently hitting the 17-18% mark, which is critical for meeting quality requirements at sugar factories.
• Harvestability: The root architecture is uniform, making it well-suited for mechanical harvesting with minimal field losses.
• Plant health: Maintains a healthy leaf canopy, simplifying row-cultivation operations.

Choosing a hybrid from the Betaseed portfolio like the BTS SMART 9685 means opting for predictability. It allows the farmer to focus on management rather than reactive troubleshooting. Whether you are aiming for high tonnage or high sucrose output, this hybrid acts as a reliable workhorse, forgiving of minor agronomic inconsistencies while delivering the heavy-duty disease resistance required for modern sugar beet production.
