Belozerkivsky MS-57 is a single-stemmed triploid hybrid sugar beet developed by the Belozerkivska and Ivanovska Experimental and Selection Stations of the Institute of Sugar Beet. This hybrid was included in the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine in 1997 and recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe and Polesye zones. Due to its breeding characteristics, MS-57 demonstrates high adaptability and stable productivity in the specified regions.
The average root yield of the hybrid is 533 centners per hectare, with sucrose content reaching 17.2%. Sugar yield from the harvest reaches 91.7 centners per hectare, indicating high efficiency in sugar production. These figures make Belozerkivsky MS-57 an attractive choice for farmers focused on maximizing sugar yield from their crops.
Sugar beet MS-57 is primarily used for sugar production, but like other technical sugar beet varieties, it can also be used for animal feed purposes. The high sucrose content in the roots ensures not only high productivity but also economic benefit in growing and processing this crop.
