Sugar beet ANGARA SMART

Technological Potential of «Angara Smart» Hybrid

The Danish breeding school DLF has prioritized adaptability in the sugar beet segment with the introduction of the «Angara Smart» hybrid. Categorized as an NZ (normal-sugar) type, this product serves as a perfect balance for farms seeking a compromise between high root yield and stable sugar accumulation. In field conditions, this translates into predictable root development across diverse agronomic scenarios.

Phytosanitary Resilience: Genetic Defense

The core strength of «Angara Smart» lies in its reinforced immune profile. The hybrid incorporates resistance mechanisms against a complex of pathogens that threaten the profitability of sugar beet cultivation every season:

• Rhizomania (BSNY): DLF’s breeding ensures a robust barrier against the necrotic yellow vein virus, which is crucial for intensive farming in areas with high infection pressure.
• Cercospora: High tolerance to this foliar pathogen preserves leaf surface area until late autumn, preventing sugar losses caused by secondary regrowth.
• Rots and Powdery Mildew: Genetic resistance reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications, optimizing plant protection logistics.

Root Physical Parameters

«Angara Smart» develops medium-sized roots, providing an ideal fit for mechanical harvesting efficiency. High uniformity in crop emergence facilitates precise row tracking, minimizing harvest losses. Furthermore, a sugar content of 19–20%, combined with a moderate output of molasses-forming substances, allows processing plants to efficiently extract sugar. This hybrid is a precise instrument for producers who prioritize predictable results and high juice purity in industrial production.
