Description Goeland
Beet sugar variety Goeland is a warm-loving and heat-tolerant crop with high yield and sugar content potential. The leaf rosette is medium-sized and dark green, and the root has an oval-conical shape, penetrating soil to approximately 85%. This variety exhibits good storability and resistance to various diseases, including rhizomania, cercosporosis, and powdery mildew, ensuring stable yields under diverse soil-climate conditions.

Goeland has high drought resistance due to its well-developed root system capable of absorbing moisture from depths up to 2.5 meters. The optimal temperature for growth and development is 20-22°C, although photosynthesis proceeds effectively even at temperatures above 40°C. Seeds have a wide germination range from +4 to 17°C, with emergence time directly depending on temperature. During the intensive root growth period, especially in July-August, the crop requires adequate moisture, as water deficiency may lead to increased nitrogen content in roots.

Sugar beet Goeland tolerates frosts down to -5°C in the pre-harvest period, allowing cultivation in medium harvest windows. Seeds show moderate resistance to root rots and maintain germination when stored properly. It is recommended to grow on chernozems and other fertile soils following good predecessors, which contributes to high-quality yields.
