Harold

Harold beet is a medium-early variety of table beet with a vegetation period of 65-70 days. The roots of this variety are characterized by a round shape, smooth skin, and a deep burgundy color both on the outside and inside. The average weight of the roots ranges from 140 to 250 grams, and the internal structure almost lacks radial rings, which positively affects the taste qualities. The high uniformity of the roots makes this variety especially attractive for home gardeners and commercial producers.

Harold has a strong root system and a small leaf rosette, which contributes to its resistance to bolting and fungal disease cercospora. This variety is cold-resistant and prefers light, well-fertilized, fertile soils. For sowing, direct sowing into open ground is recommended when the soil temperature reaches 6-8°C, planting seeds at a depth of 3-4 cm with a seeding rate of 1-1.5 grams per square meter. The plant requires adequate moisture, especially during germination and root formation. The seeds are supplied fully prepared for sowing and do not require additional processing.

Harold beet is characterized by high yield, good transportability, and long storage life without loss of quality, allowing the harvest to be used both fresh and for processing and canning. Due to these characteristics, the variety is suitable for both private gardens and commercial cultivation, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield.
