Spinach Boa

Boa F1 Spinach (Boa F1) is a fast-maturing hybrid variety developed by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan, with a vegetation period of about 45 days. This variety is characterized by high adaptability and resistance to stressful conditions, including frost down to -6°C, making it suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under protective coverings. Boa F1 seeds germinate at a temperature of +4°C, with an optimal growth temperature of around +15°C. Sowing can be done early spring from late February to mid-April, as well as late summer from late July to mid-August. Due to its frost and cold resistance, as well as disease immunity, this variety is suitable for year-round cultivation in greenhouses and balcony beds.

Spinach plants of Boa form compact bushes with upright, round, thick, dark green leaves resembling sorrel in shape. The leaf blade is smooth and succulent, giving the greens an attractive commercial appearance and high flavor quality. Short stems make harvesting convenient, while high yield and stable results under various cultivation conditions make this variety popular among growers. Leaves retain freshness for 7 days under normal storage conditions and even longer in vacuum packaging, expanding opportunities for fresh market sales and processing.

Boa F1 spinach is widely used in culinary applications for salads, sauces, beverages, and other dishes, and is also suitable for freezing for winter storage. Its versatility and resistance to adverse conditions make this variety an excellent choice for both commercial cultivation and home gardens. Thanks to the combination of fast maturation, frost resistance, and high commercial appeal, Boa F1 ensures a stable and high-quality harvest under various climatic conditions.
