The Selection and Genetics Institute has incorporated an architecture into the 'Berehynia' soybean variety designed to mitigate risks in Ukraine's unstable climate. The technical value of this material lies in the balance between metabolic activity of the vegetative mass and the rate of organic compound accumulation in the seeds.

Biochemical Grain Profile

A key indicator is the high level of protein synthesis. With a protein content of 41–43%, the variety demonstrates stable translation of the genetic code into a commercial product. Oil content in the 20–21% range allows this variety to be classified as high-protein, which is a critical factor for processing plants aiming to obtain high-quality meal with minimal separation costs.

Phytopathological Resistance as a Technological Solution

‘Berehynia’ features comprehensive protection at the genetic level. Resistance to three key pathogens—peronosporosis, fusarium, and bacteriosis—reduces the fungicidal load on crops. This is not just an environmental issue, but a cost-reduction tool: decreasing the number of planned treatments allows for lower production costs while maintaining yield potential during years with high infection pressure.
