Tanais soybean variety is a fast-maturing hybrid recommended for cultivation in the Polissia region. Plants reach a height of 75-85 cm, facilitating convenient agronomic practices and harvest collection. The variety is distinguished by high protein content in seeds — from 41 to 42%, as well as oil content at the level of 20-21%, making it attractive for the production of food and feed products.
Tanais exhibits resistance to numerous diseases and stress factors, contributing to stable yield formation. The yield potential of this variety ranges from 2.5 to 3.0 tons per hectare. For optimal growth and maximum harvest, it is recommended to maintain specific seeding rates depending on row spacing: at 15 cm — 790-820 thousand plants per hectare, at 19.2 cm — 770-810 thousand, at 30 cm — 760-800 thousand.
The variety is included in the State Register for the Central, Central Chernozem, and Far Eastern regions of Russia, confirming its adaptability to various climatic conditions. Average yields in these regions vary from 10.7 to 25.5 centners per hectare. Protein content in seeds, according to data from different regions, ranges from 34.0 to 39.2%, and fat content — from 24.7 to 25.1%, indicating high product quality.
