Sugar sorghum variety Slavyanskoe Priusadebnoe is a mid-season, tall variety with green leaves and matte veins. The plant is characterized by late flowering and a symmetrical, upright head of medium length and density. The ears are grape-like, with chestnut-colored glumes at maturity, and the grain is elliptical and brown, with a 1000-grain weight ranging from 21.8 to 28.0 grams. Yield of dry matter reaches 111.8 centners per hectare, exceeding the average standard by 12.5 centners, while seed yield is 45.0 centners per hectare. The variety is resistant to lodging and drought at standard levels, making it reliable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, particularly in the Rostov region.
The Slavyanskoe Priusadebnoe variety is widely used in agronomy as a sugar source, as well as in the food industry and as a feed base for livestock. For successful sorghum cultivation, well-drained soils, sufficient sunlight, and regular irrigation are required. These conditions ensure high productivity and seed quality, making this variety in demand among agricultural producers.
Studies have shown that the use of complex fertilizers, including nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium components, micronutrients, as well as the growth regulator epin, significantly increases the variety's productivity. When fertilizers are applied in doses of N100P60K120 with the addition of copper, zinc, and epin, green mass yield reaches 61.4 tons per hectare, and dry matter yield is 14.9 tons per hectare. Additionally, the variety provides a high output of feed units and digestible protein, which increases the economic efficiency of cultivation and production profitability.
