Maize IBARAMA

Working with Ibarama

When planning the sowing season, the first thing you look for is a predictable ripening schedule. With Ibarama from Lidea, you can rely on a consistent vegetation cycle of 90 to 110 days. For grain production, this is the perfect balance, helping to avoid the extreme costs associated with grain drying and post-harvest processing.

Field Performance and Harvestability

Lidea's French breeding program focuses on agronomic efficiency, and it shows when the combine hits the field. The plants are sturdy and uniform in height, which is essential for smooth header operation. During threshing, the hybrid demonstrates excellent grain release—the cob sheds its husk easily, which minimizes harvest losses and reduces stress on the separation system.

• Stability: The hybrid is forgiving of minor agronomic inconsistencies, consistently maintaining yield at the targeted level.
• Grain Focus: Designed specifically for grain production, the cob density ensures a high commercial yield.
• French Standard: Originator Laurent Bettinger developed this hybrid with strong resistance to regional diseases, reducing the need for excessive fungicide applications.

For an agronomist, the main advantage of Ibarama is that it doesn't require complex, high-maintenance farming techniques. It is a workhorse for those who prioritize predictable results in the grain tank. The hybrid responds well to standard fertilization plans without needing extreme inputs. At harvest, the grain comes in clean and with low moisture content, allowing for immediate storage or delivery without the risk of spoilage in the silo.
