Description UNIVEN
Sorghum broom species Univen represents a medium-maturing plant with green seedlings and a yellow-red stem, which has 10 to 14 above-ground nodes. Plant height varies depending on growing conditions: reaching 150-160 cm on dryland and 180-190 cm with irrigation. Leaves are lanceolate, green with white veins, and hairless. The panicle is broom-shaped, 40 to 48 cm long, upright or slightly inclined, colored orange-red or brown-red, loose and cylindrical, with elastic and elastic branches. The panicle stalk length is 40-45 cm.

The grain of the variety is round, reddish-brown, and thin-skinned, with a 1000-grain mass of about 28 g. The plant is characterized by high drought resistance and a sturdy stem, ensuring resistance to lodging. According to test data, the variety shows medium resistance to powdery and hard head smut, as well as slight damage from cereal aphids and bacterial leaf spot.

Univen is distinguished by high yield: average collection of dry threshed panicles reaches 13.8 centners/hectare, grain - up to 40.7 centners/hectare, and the output of brooms per hectare is from 4 to 5.5 thousand pieces depending on growing conditions. The variety is suitable for cultivation both on dryland and with irrigation, making it a universal and profitable choice for agricultural production.
