PR 88 U 92 is a mid-early sorghum hybrid intended primarily for livestock and farm feed purposes. The plants of this variety are low-growing, single-stemmed, well-uniform in height, with green leaves and a medium-length ear that becomes loose upon maturity. The grain is elliptical, light brown in color, with a semi-glassy endosperm; the 1000-grain weight varies from 20.3 to 35.6 grams. The variety is characterized by weak anthocyanin pigmentation of seedlings and the absence or very weak development of awns on the lower lemma of the flower.
