Description Clara
The 'Clara' sea buckthorn variety – a female, mid-ripening variety with high yield and excellent frost resistance. The tree has a compact crown, upright and powerful shoots covered with thorns up to 4–6 cm in length. Leaves are elliptical, up to 5 cm long, and the plant height is approximately 50–60 cm.

The berries are large, orange-yellow in color with a yellow-orange hue, weighing from 0.6 to 1 g. The flesh is juicy and rich in Vitamin C and carotenoids, with a slightly sour taste (about 4.5% acidity). Thanks to cold resistance and low susceptibility to diseases, 'Clara' is suitable for both open-ground cultivation and industrial processing. Yield reaches 22–23 tons per hectare when planted at 3.5×1 m.

The variety is easily harvested mechanically; after harvesting, the berries can be packed into a hermetic packaging material that retains moisture in the root system for over a week. 'Clara' is suitable for the production of fresh berries, juices, jams, and compotes, and can also be used as raw material for the food industry due to its high content of beneficial substances.
