Golden Ball

The 'Golden Ball' lettuce is a medium-early leafy variety with pronounced decorative qualities due to its yellowish leaf color. The leaf rosette is compact and semi-upright, with a diameter of 22-24 centimeters, consisting of 10-15 leaves with strongly wavy edges, measuring 13-16 centimeters in length and 16-20 centimeters in width. The leaves are smooth, crisp, and juicy, with a mild, slightly sweet flavor without bitterness, making the lettuce especially appealing for fresh consumption and dish garnishing.

The variety is characterized by high resistance to diseases and relative resistance to bolting, ensuring ease of cultivation under various climatic conditions, including both open ground and protected environments. The period from mass germination to technical maturity is 25-30 days, allowing its use for conveyor cultivation during summer, as well as for winter sowing 10 days before stable frosts.

The weight of one plant varies from 120 to 409 grams depending on the form — from leafy to head-type lettuce with round, dense heads.
