Description Cristabel
Cristabel is a medium-maturing, semi-heading lettuce variety of the Lollo Bionda type, developed by the Dutch seed company Enza Zaden. This variety is characterized by its high adaptability to cultivation conditions, enabling successful growth in various climatic zones of Ukraine from spring to autumn. Cristabel is not demanding in terms of soil, but for optimal growth, it requires regulated watering, loosening, and infrequent fertilization. The plant exhibits strong growth energy, especially when grown from seedlings, which contributes to better adaptation to changing weather conditions.

Cristabel forms an upright rosette with curly, compact, dark green leaves with a glossy surface. The leaves have a pleasant crisp and juicy flavor, making this lettuce an excellent choice for fresh consumption, salad preparation, vegetable juices, smoothies, and as a side dish. Thanks to its high resistance to bolting and leaf edge burn, as well as its excellent storability, lettuce rosettes can be stored for extended periods in the field on the root without loss of quality or taste.

Cristabel can be successfully grown both in open ground and under plastic coverings, enabling year-round fresh lettuce production. It is suitable for retail in supermarkets and fresh vegetable markets, as well as for processing and use in salad mixes. This variety combines high product quality, universal application, and resistance to adverse growing conditions.
