Talan is a multi-cut ryegrass intended for both fodder and lawn use. The variety is characterized by semi-upright bushes in the first year of sowing, and medium height with moderate stem length in the second year. The leaves are dark green and of medium size, providing a dense and attractive appearance.
Special attention is paid to the flower heads: they are long, have many spikelets, but the second growth phase is characterized by early flowering, which reduces the risk of forming strong heads. The variety is resistant to major diseases and pests – according to the applicant's data, it was weakly affected by marginal leaf spot and helminthosporiosis.
Talan is widely used in agriculture as a cover crop, as well as for fodder production. Packaging is usually represented by 25 kg bags, which is convenient for transportation and storage. Thanks to its stability and versatility, this ryegrass is suitable for various climatic conditions and soil types.
