Chulpan 7 is a winter rye breed developed by the Federal Agrarian Scientific Center of the South-East. It is characterized by late maturity with a vegetation period of 318 to 342 days and short stature, reaching a height of up to 95 cm. The grain of the breed is elongated, semi-open, predominantly yellow in color with green grain impurities, with a 1000-grain mass ranging from 24 to 33 grams. The yield of the breed reaches 22.7 centners per hectare, making it in demand among agrarians.
The Chulpan 7 breed is distinguished by high resistance to brown rust and Swedish fly, which ensures crop stability even in unfavorable conditions. In addition, it has high frost resistance, which allows for successful cultivation in various regions, including the Volga-Vyatsky, Urals, and West Siberia. However, to achieve maximum productivity, modern agro-technologies and careful care are required.
Chulpan 7 occupies a significant place among popular winter rye breeds, thanks to the combination of high yield, disease resistance, and adaptability to climatic conditions. Its use is recommended for regions with moderate and cold climates where winter hardiness and grain quality are important. Such a breed is suitable for cultivation both on large agricultural enterprises and on farm enterprises focused on obtaining a stable and high-quality rye crop.
