Pribaikalskaya is a mid-early spring rye variety distinguished by its high adaptability and resistance to adverse conditions. The plant is tall with a semi-upright or semi-drooping ear that is notable for its length and density. The mass of 1000 grains ranges from 30 to 35 grams; the grain is of medium size with a dark aleurone layer coloration. The vegetation period lasts from 87 to 123 days, ensuring timely maturation in growing regions. The Pribaikalskaya variety is characterized by high resistance to shattering and drought, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in the East Siberian region, including the Republic of Buryatia and Krasnoyarsk Krai. Lodging resistance is medium, along with high resistance to septoria and a standard level of resistance to ergot. Average yield in the East Siberian region reaches 45.8–54.6 centners per hectare, indicating the high productivity of the variety. The grain of the Pribaikalskaya variety is distinguished by its high protein content — about 14.6%, and starch — 54.2%, making it valuable for the food and feed industries. The waxy coating on the ear and the sheath of the flag leaf is moderate and strong, respectively, which contributes to plant protection. The variety is recommended for cultivation in conditions of Eastern Siberia and the Urals, where it demonstrates stable yield and quality indicators.
