KWS N 5009 is a first-generation spring barley hybrid characterized by a tall, semi-erect culm and a long, dense ear. The grain is of medium size, with a 1,000-grain weight ranging from 30 to 33 grams. The plant has a moderate wax coating on the ear and a strong coating on the sheath of the flag leaf, which contributes to its resilience under unfavorable conditions. The vegetative period ranges from 72 to 96 days, with maturation occurring simultaneously with the reference variety Priбайkalskaya. The hybrid is diploid and demonstrates high yield, reaching 16.2 c/ha in the Ural region and up to 54.6 c/ha in the East Siberian region.
